I have local expertise in the three major cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond. I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and was fortunate to have lived in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond for almost 1/3 of my life in each city. These were and still are my “stomping grounds”.
I can speak three fluent languages: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. My family is from Hong Kong (Cantonese) and they immigrated to Canada almost 40 years ago. When I was in my teens, my parents had already recognized that Mandarin will become the next major language. So I took Mandarin as a language class in both High School and University. A lot of new friends I make are from China so they have helped me hone my Mandarin speaking skills over the years.
I come from a background of sales and service in computers and technology. This has provided me with an edge in understanding consumers need for excellent customer service and also forged my abilities with using computers and technology. I’ve also worked with and alongside many successful REALTORS® to learn all the tricks and tips that only experience can teach. I also have many years of experience in real estate working as a REALTOR®.
When you pick a REALTOR® you need someone who has deep roots in the location that you’re looking for. That way you know that this person knows this location like the back of their hand and can tell you everything there is to know about the location of the home you want to buy. And let’s face it, whether you’re looking to buy or sell there is probably a 50% chance (or maybe even more) that your Buyer(s) or Seller(s) and even the agent is going to be Asian. And the chance of them speaking either Cantonese or Mandarin is extremely high. I can speak “their language” and I understand their culture. This alone can sometimes help make the negotiations run lot smoother. And lastly, we now live in an constantly changing world of technology. You need a REALTOR® that’s able to be on top of things just like he/she should be on top of technology. Technology will not only enhance your experience in buying/selling real estate, it is another item that can help make the transaction run a lot smoother as well.
I’m not the #1 REALTOR® in town, yet. Being the underdog, I just can’t afford sloppy preparation, lack-luster service, or poor follow-up. Or even anything less than my complete commitment. My sincere pledge of integrity is putting you first.
